\”Jesus\” is alive and well down under – or is he?

It\’s safe to say that everyone on this planet believe in something.  Be it religion or science, we all have something that we believe to be true.

In recent years there has been a steady increase in the need to belief.  Humanity has become tired and they need to find something to belief in.  The almost overnight success of Celestine Prophecy, The Secret and the like are proof of this.  There are many things which influences what we end up believing and the biggest of these will have to be personal background.  The good and bad experiences brings us to belief what we do.  Unfortunately, the bad has a habit of sticking.

I grew up in a religious home.  Some of my fondest childhood memories are of my grandfather signing hymns on Sunday mornings while getting ready for church.  At the age of 7 I surrendered my life to Christ and accepted him as my Savior.  However, I am only human and strayed far from the path in  my lifetime.  I have not lived a perfect life, but have always had my believe in God to carry my through.  In 2005 when my sister suddenly passed away at the age of 25, leaving behind a 6 month old baby, I was angry at God.  Very angry.  In 2010 I experienced several truly life changing events, which left me, again, searching.  I went through Celestine Prophecy, The Secret and many more.  In the background was always my bible.

I came to the conclusion that all these books boils down to the same principle: the greater good.

Fear and faith both requires us to belief in something we can not see.  These are the main driving forces of society today.  We can choose to have a belief in what we fear or we can choose to have faith.  I choose to have faith.  I have absolutely nothing to  lose by choosing to belief in Christ Jesus being Savior.

    1. Thank you! I’m so glad they brought this to our attention. I have a few posts, which I have always kept aside simply because I thought them to be too long. No I can post away!
